Holiday camps for kids

With holiday school vacations approaching, now is the time to consider activities to keep school-age children active and entertained during their time away from the
classroom. Camp Autrey Mill gives children the learning tools to safely explore the natural environment for a lifetime. They strive to instill an appreciation of history and nature through crafts, games, puzzles, and historical artifacts. Children ages 6-11,  January 2 – January 3 from 9 am – 5 pm.

School News

Chattahoochee High School welcomed 18 French students for a 12-day cultural exchange. They connected via Whatsapp and social media, and CHS students shared many experiences of life as American teenagers. Dolvin Elementary School unveiled its new Staff Wellness Room. Outfitted with comfortable furniture, it featured a coffee/tea bar, spa soundscapes, original art, and a nursing mother’s privacy screen. Johns Creek High School’s Audio Video Technology and Film department received the Craft Achievement award by the Student Television Network for exceptional use of their website to promote film and video. Taylor Road Middle School teachers are piloting a low-stakes, peer-observation program called “learning walks”. Teachers volunteered to be observed by peers to share effective strategies. River Trail Middle School eighth-graders Anusha Kanagaraj and Vaishnavi Tammali won “Best Overall” award for middle school in the Bright Spark Invention Challenge for their design prototype of a rain gutter system to produce electricity and freshwater.
