Prostate Screening at Northside
Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is offering a community screening to determine men’s risk for developing prostate cancer on Thursday, August 23, 5:30-8 p.m. at Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus, 3400 Old Milton Parkway, Building A, Suite 130. Eligibility: men, ages 45-75 with no prior diagnosis of prostate cancer, no prostate exam within the past year. Screenings are administered by health care professionals and consist of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that 16 recent Fulton County graduates have been named National Merit Scholars of the 3,500 winners nationally. In addition to the prestigious National Merit Scholar distinction, these 2018 seniors earned National Merit scholarships from participating colleges and universities. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
